Getting old is an inevitable journey to all human beings. At the age of 20, humans reach the peak physical and physiological functions, followed by the gradual decline with the normal aging process. In this talk, I will discuss my overall perspective on the connection between diet, phytonutrients and health outcomes related to wellness and aging. Particulary, I will discuss the approaches to demonstrating the effect of functional foods and nutraceulicals on prevention and protection of age-related disases in order to achieve healthy aging. I will makes some examples of human clinicals helping to explain the “why” and “how” of these relationships.
