In order to further promote technological innovation and industrial upgrading in the fields of sports health and sports nutrition, on the morning of April 9th, a delegation of six people led by Bai Houzeng, the chairman of Beijing Combest Sports Technology Co., LTD., visited our school. Both sides held a precise exchange on industry-university-research cooperation in Room 337 of Yifu Building at the Binhai Main Campus. Lu Fuping, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee and president of the university, as well as relevant responsible persons and teacher representatives from the College of Food Science and Engineering, the College of Bioengineering, and the Technology Transfer Center attended the symposium.

In his welcoming speech, Lu Fuping expounded on the significance of cooperation among industry, academia and research, as well as the necessity of collaboration in the sports nutrition and mass fitness industries. He stated that Tianjin University of Science and Technology can cultivate talents in a specialized and targeted manner based on the demands of enterprises. Bai Houzeng introduced the development history and cultural concepts of Combest, and expressed the hope of working hand in hand with Tianjin University of Science and Technology to promote the high-quality development of the sports nutrition and health industry. He pointed out that this cooperation marks a new chapter in the precise connection between Kangbit and universities in terms of industry-university-research collaboration. This exchange focused on in-depth discussions and exchanges on sports nutrition solutions such as the empowerment of food and medicine products with the same origin, the health regulation mechanism of nutritional components, and the innovative research and development of sports nutrition foods. It further explored and deepened the cooperation framework between the two sides, and subsequently signed a strategic cooperation agreement.

A delegation from Beijing Combest Sports Technology Co., Ltd. also visited the State Key Laboratory of Food Nutrition and Safety.
