Recently, the Agricultural Product Quality Safety Supervision Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs held an exchange activity on agricultural product quality safety entering campuses and educational-innovation integration at Chengdu University. The food safety hazard factor visualization rapid detection technology developed by the Food Science and Engineering College of our university participated in the technical achievement display of agricultural safety entering campuses, showcasing the school's scientific research innovation, talent cultivation and educational-innovation integration capabilities in the field of agricultural safety.

This technology, as a benchmark research achievement in the field of agricultural safety, has established a complete rapid detection technology system. The core product is the food safety rapid detection box, and corresponding rapid detection kits and test strips for pesticides and veterinary drugs have also been developed. It can conduct screening for common harmful indicators in food. At the event site, the staff fully demonstrated the detection principle, detection effect, and overseas market influence of the food safety rapid detection box. Relevant leaders from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and teachers from the university observed the event on site. After the discussion, the teachers from our university had in-depth exchanges with the relevant leaders regarding the innovation, practicality and industrialization effectiveness of this technological achievement.

During the same event, the agricultural science and technology quality safety popular science works collection and competition for agricultural colleges, where the science popularization short-video works created by the team of students Xia Lanxin, Zhang Boyu, Wang Yajie, and Liu Zenghui from our college, titled "Campus Agricultural Safety Battle: Rumors Retreat! Retreat! Retreat!", won the excellence award for its vivid content, novel form, and strong educational value. This award is a vivid manifestation of the college's long-term commitment to the "research + popular science" dual drive and the deepening of agricultural safety science popularization education.

In recent years, the College of Food Science and Engineering has actively established a five-dimensional interactive system of "teaching - research - industry - supervision - popular science" for agricultural safety education. Relying on the undergraduate major of Food Quality and Safety, it has deepened the reform of core agricultural safety courses and integrated cutting-edge detection technologies and standard regulations into classroom teaching. It focuses on key technological research such as hazard factor detection and risk assessment, converting research achievements into teaching cases and popular science materials. It collaborates deeply with industry leaders such as Tianjin Food Group to jointly build a practice base for industry-academia integration. It provides technical training and support to departments such as agriculture and rural affairs, market supervision, etc., to help enhance the regulatory capabilities at the grassroots level. It regularly holds series of activities such as "Agricultural Safety Entering Schools, Communities, and Villages", comprehensively enhancing the public's scientific literacy in agricultural safety.

Next, the College of Food Science and Engineering will take this exchange activity as an opportunity to continuously leverage the advantages and research characteristics of the food discipline, further improve the full-chain talent training system in the agricultural safety field, optimize the professional curriculum layout, deepen the collaboration between industry and education, and fully promote the deep integration of agricultural product quality safety scientific and technological innovation, talent cultivation, and social services.
