In order to thoroughly implement the national innovation-driven development strategy, promote scientific and technological innovation and talent cultivation in the food industry, actively respond to our university's "Pioneer Plan", promote the implementation of the "Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation Quality Improvement" plan, stimulate students' innovative thinking and practical ability, cultivate teamwork spirit, and deepen students' understanding of the CIFST College Students' Food Science and Technology Innovation Competition. The Food Innovation Workshop of the College of Food Science and Engineering will be held from 14:00 to 16:00 on April 28th. The online live broadcast of the "CIFST College Students' Food Science and Technology Innovation Competition 2025 Kick-off Meeting" and the campus promotion meeting of the third Nestle Cup Student Innovation Competition and the Third National Dairy Technology Innovation Center Innovation Competition was organized and watched in the second lecture hall of the Middle Campus Library in Binhai Campus.
This kick-off meeting marks the official launch of the CIFST College Students' Food Science and Technology Innovation Competition, an associated event of the National Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition. At the meeting, the organizers gave a detailed explanation of the rules of the College Students' Food Science and Technology Innovation Competition of the Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology, and clarified the two competition themes for 2025, including the Third Nestle Cup Student Innovation Competition and the Third National Dairy Technology Innovation Center Innovation Competition. Subsequently, professionals from Nestle Brand Company and the National Dairy Technology Innovation Center introduced to everyone the content about the participation methods, basic rules of the competition, competition process, competition tracks, requirements for works, award Settings, and reviews of previous competitions, helping the students watching on-site and online to have a deeper understanding of the details of the event.
