During the Mid-Autumn Festival, osmanthus flowers are fragrant, the bright moon hangs high in the sky, and the silver light spreads all over the world. Every ray of moonlight seems to carry deep emotions and yearning. During the Mid-Autumn Festival, mooncakes, as traditional festival delicacies, are not only a treat for the taste buds but also a place to entrust and convey emotions. Clear water melts emotions, kneading dough with heart, carefully selecting fillings, and gently pressing the mold. With the "ding-dong" sound of the oven, golden mooncakes were freshly baked. The "Moon Affinity" mooncakes, made by the members of the Food Innovation Workshop and the teachers and students of the College of Food Science and Engineering, are sweet and fragrant with every bite, carrying the makers' intentions and blessings. They allow those who taste them to feel the warmth and care from afar or nearby in this sweetness.
After conducting research on the fillings, the workshop members selected six flavors of fillings to make mooncakes, namely jujube paste, mung beans, red bean paste, taro paste, purple sweet potatoes and hawthorn. The teachers and students of the Food College can not only taste the traditional flavors of mooncakes, but also try the novel flavors of mooncakes.
From September 13th to 14th, the members of the workshop, with their deep respect for their teachers and their selfless dedication and meticulous guidance, presented mooncakes they had made by hand to the teachers and first-year postgraduate students of the Food College, making this Mid-Autumn Festival even more warm and meaningful. Moreover, the members of the workshop have carried forward the traditional virtues of respecting teachers and valuing education, as well as unity and friendship through their actions.
The moon is full on the Mid-Autumn Festival, and the cakes convey my heartfelt wishes. The Food Innovation Workshop distributed mooncakes and sent Mid-Autumn Festival greetings to the freshmen at 19:00 on September 16th in the second and third lecture halls of the library. Before the event began, the workshop members had already prepared the "Yuanyuan" mooncakes in the lecture hall, waiting quietly for the arrival of the new students. After the freshmen arrived, Zhang Sikun, the chairperson of the Food Innovation Workshop, first extended Mid-Autumn Festival greetings to them, and then the workshop members presented them with mooncakes full of heartfelt wishes. Each sweet mooncake is filled with the sincere blessings of the workshop members, hoping that the freshmen of the 24th grade can feel the warmth of home during the Mid-Autumn Festival.
The Mid-Autumn Festival has arrived. The Food Innovation Workshop of the College of Food Science and Engineering extends its most sincere festival greetings to all teachers and students! Each mooncake is not only a continuation of traditional customs, but also a transmission and expression of emotions. May this bright full moon illuminate everyone's heart and bring warmth and joy to all. At this moment of reunion, may the friendship between teachers and students be as sweet and deep as the mooncakes of the Mid-Autumn Festival. Thank you to every teacher for your hard work and to every student for your diligent study. May we all continue to move forward hand in hand in the days to come.
