Changlu Wang is a Professor and Ph.D tutor of the College of Food Engineering and Biotechnology and Curator of Library, Tianjin University of Science and Technology (TUST).  Prof. Wang completed Bachelor and Master Degrees from Tianjin Institute of Light Industry (TILI, the predecessor of TUST) at 1983 and 1988 and joined TILI from 1983 to now.  Prof. Wang was a lecturer, associate professor and professor at 1990, 1993 and 1998, respectively. From 2001 to 2009, Prof. Wang was elected as the Director of Postgraduate Department in TUST. From 2013 to the present, Prof. Wang has been acting as the Curator of Library in TUST.

Research Interests

Prof. Wang’s group has rich research experiences and wide research interests including (1) Processing and storage of farm products; (2) Biological transformation and resource development of agricultural and sideline products; (3) Research and development of functional food; (4) Biotransformation of renewable energy; (5) Research and development of biological organic fertilizer; (6) Improvement of traditional fermented food; (7) Functional factors of natural material and microbial metabolic products; (8) Molecular biology of Monascus spp. and Streptomycete spp.
