Biography
Prof. Yaqing Liu received her BSc in 1998 and PhD in 2006 from Chengdu University of Sciences and Technology and Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, respectively. From 2007 to 2010, Dr. Liu worked as a postdoctoral fellow in Peter Grünberg Institute (PGI-8), Forschungszentrum Jülich, Germany. She joined Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2010. Prof. Liu has worked at Tianjin University of Science and Technology since 2015.
The research main involves two fields. One is the food safety detection. Another is rapid and accurate detection biomarkers for early warning of serious diseases. The investigation focuses on the molecular recognition mechanism between aptamer and target to provide theoretical foundation for the development of novel strategy for rapid testing. The research covers the synthesis of bio-nanomaterials, bioimaging, fabrication of molecular devices and molecular logic gates and their applications in bioanalytical fields. The aim is to develop novel approaches and technologies for rapid and accurate detection strategy with high throughput, sensitivity and selectivity. Prof. Liu has over 50 publications in international journals, such as ACS Nano, Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., NPG Asia Mater., Adv. Sci., Chem. Sci.,Anal. Chem. etc. Prof. Liu is principle investigator of eight projects including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, State Key Instrument Developing Special Project of Ministry of Science and Technology of China, the Instrument Developing Project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and so on.

Prof. Liu is awarded as Distinguished Professor (Tianjin), Young and middle-aged innovative and leading talents (Tianjin), the First Level Innovative Talents of “131” Talent Project (Tianjin), member of Council of Foodborn Microbiology Detection Technology Association (China), member of Expert Committee of Chinese food Newspaper and Association of Chinese Food Colleges.
